THIRTEENTH ANNUAL NMU
INVITATIONAL PROGRAMMING CONTEST

The Thirteenth Annual Northern Michigan University
Invitational Programming Contest occurred on Saturday 24
March 2012 from 12:00 to 5:00 P.M. in Jamrich Hall.
Eighty-four students on thirty teams representing six
universities participated. This is a record for
participants, teams, and universities, all three.
Participating in the event were
Algoma University (Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, CAN), The
College of Saint Scholastica (Duluth, Minnesota, USA), Lake
Superior State University (Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, USA),
Michigan Technological University (Houghton, Michigan, USA),
Northern Michigan University (Marquette, Michigan, USA),
University of Michigan-Flint (Flint, Michigan, USA).
MTU won first place school, with LSSU coming in second, and
NMU coming in third.
Here is the placement of the NMU
teams. Out of thirty teams total:
Tenth place: TRY CATCH EM ALL (Adam

Twentieth place: BEAUTY AND BRAINS

Twenty-sixth place: I WANT SOME

Twenty-eighth place: BLUE MEANIES

Twenty-ninth place: NMU ROBOTICS
